Healthcare Management Solutions Welcomes Staff Back to Head Office

After nearly two years of working from home, the team at Healthcare Management Solutions have returned to their head office at Wythall.

At the start of the pandemic, the company had been one of the first to ask employees to work from home to protect both its staff and the vulnerable people living in the care homes it manages.

Following an excellent uptake of Covid-19 vaccinations and boosters among its head office staff, the relaxation of government guidance to work from home, and an evidently milder variant of coronavirus in circulation, Healthcare Management Solutions has adopted a hybrid working policy.

Staff at the company may now work from home up to three days per week, with two days spent at its headquarters near Birmingham.

The first members of the Healthcare Management Solutions team returned to the head office on Monday 7th February and were greeted by a giant welcome back banner, cards and fresh pastries.

A Future of Flexible Working

Lynn Fearn, managing director of Healthcare Management Solutions, said: “Since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, our priorities have been to protect those in our care and our employment. With our head office team technically able to work from anywhere, it was an easy decision to adopt a working from home policy for these employees at the earliest opportunity.

“Thanks to our excellent IT support team, this was a smooth transition and a productive way of safely maintaining our head office function for nearly two years. However, with guidance on working from home relaxed and evidence that the Omicron variant is much milder, we believe now is the perfect time to safely bring our teams back together in a flexible way.”

Healthcare Management Solutions has worked innovatively to keep staff connected with regular virtual coffee mornings, staff meetings and social gatherings on Zoom throughout the pandemic. The company has also implemented staff wellbeing initiatives to keep a check on its employees mental health.

Commenting on the return to head office, Lynn Fearn added: “Although we have adapted well to virtual means of business, we look forward to networking, sharing ideas, working collaboratively in person and all of the other great things we have missed!”
